Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the text size is too big/small?
This site is designed to be as accessible to as many citizens and constituents of Missouri as possible, in accordance with §191.863 of the Missouri Revised Statutes. One way to do this is to allow the user to select their default text size.

You can adjust the default text size of your Internet Explorer browser by selecting "View > Text Size" and changing the font size. In Netscape, select "Edit > Preferences" and choose "Appearance > Fonts" to adjust the text size.
Why does this site look odd in Netscape 4.x?
The Insurance site is designed to use the currently recommended standards for web design, and makes extensive use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to render the page.

While Netscape 4 was one of the first browsers to make extensive use of CSS, it did not implement all of the standards and rendered some elements in quirky ways. While the Insurance site should be readable in Netscape 4, it will look much better in a current, standards-compliant browser. A list of these browsers is available on the main Help page.
Where are the other FAQ pages?
We have separate consumer FAQs , agent/producer FAQs and insurance industry FAQs.
